in Seto
Run by sensei Hanjiro Mizuno, an established gama in Seto. Sensei lectures
Kasumi about the importance of being humble yet he's proud enough to produce
unique pottery because of the superior clay in the area. Sensei said "The
clay here is adequate for any purpose, this make our pottery better than other pottery areas."
He believes that the status of potter is blown out of proportion. A potter
is just a potter who makes pottery for people to use, "The most valuable
pot you will ever own is the one you'll use the most, no matter where
you got it from." he says.
Sensei
Mizuno also lectures regularly and will have a solo show
in New York City this year.
